Almost home

Mikey’s house is almost ready and hopefully we will be home next Monday.  A huge thank you to everybody who has supported us over the past four years we could not have come this far without you help.

A big thank you to Matt Hampson

A big thank you to Matt Hampson for donating a vehicle to Mikey.  The long wheelbase Vauxhall Vivaro allows Mikey to travel further for longer because he can now carry his portable hoist, changing mats, medical equipment and carers in the same vehicle.

Mikey visits Lutterworth :-)

It took 1463 days to get Mikey back to Lutterworth for his haircut at Snippers. A huge thanks to everybody who made it possible.

Really sorry for the lack of updates on this page. Mikey is currently staying at The RNIB Pears centre in Coventry whilst a care plane for home and the home adaptions are being sorted out.

Whilst at Pears Mikey is attending the RNIB school and living in bungalow five with 4 other children and Mum and Dad are living in the RNIB assessment suit close by!

We are still trying to get Mikey home – please support Mikey by following him at  twitter account  @mikeysfund and  Facebook page at

Thank you

Last Sleep at The Children’s Trust

Michael is having his last sleep at The Children’s Trust after 2 years 9 months.  Were going to miss the team who looked after Mikey (and us) and its a big step on the journey home.

Mikey’s moving closer to home

Mikey will be leaving the Children’s Trust on the 24th November and going to Leicester Royal Infirmary for a one week check up before moving on to the Pears Centre in Coventry whilst our house is being adapted.

Really sorry for the lack of news – I will try and update more often from now on.

Mikey latest

Hopefully Mikey will leave Epsom Hospital after his chest infection in the morning!
